Unfortunately, given the current situation, we need to consider ourselves and customers as potential carriers. By acting as such we can aim to minimise contamination both to and from the customer by sticking to the following protocols and minimise risk all round.
Flow chart - Delivery:
Driving > Arrive + call customer > Remove gloves > Hand sanitiser > Fresh gloves > Delivery > 2mtr Distance > Remove gloves > Hand sanitiser > Fresh gloves for driving
- Call the customer to inform them delivery has arrived & inform them that we’re making a contactless delivery.
- In the event of no answer prepare to use contact tool
- Remove driving gloves and place in disposal container
- Hand sanitiser application with 1 minute contact time
- Fresh glove application
- Home delivery:
- Ask the recipient to back away from the door at least two meters, deliver the case either outside the building (if ok with customer) or immediately inside the doorway.
- Do not step through the door.
- Back away two meters, and let them get the items by picking up the bag remaining at a distance of two meters. Don’t hand off items in person.
- Santise contact tool and store
- Remove gloves and dispose in the disposal container
- Hand sanitiser application with 1 minute contact time
- Fresh gloves application
- Continue on to next destination
- Wash your hands with hand sanitiser for more than 20 seconds if possible
- End of delivery shift:
